The Bob Barker presently in Hobart will also depart in a few days for Sydney.

The Steve Irwin will remain in Williamstown.

The Dam Guardians are on the Columbia River in Oregon and our operation in the Galapagos continue to make progress in battling the poachers.

I have been wondering why there has not been a statement or even a word from the Green Party of Germany about my case. The Green Party in Germany represents 10% of the German people. They could help secure my release but they have chosen to say absolutely nothing.

We have the support of the Green Party in other nations like New Zealand , Australia, Canada ,etc. but not where it now matters most, in Germany.

I was a founding member of the Green Party of Canada and ran for Member of Parliament for the Greens in Vancouver Center twice. I was also the Green Party candidate for Mayor of Vancouver in 1996. I was the only Sierra Club national Board member in the United States to support Ralph Nader despite the heavy criticism it brought to me. I even once helped to host the visit of Petra Kelly of the German Green to Vancouver in 1986.

Thus it has been a mystery as to why the Green Party of Germany has been so quiet and so distant about my case here in Germany.

So I made some inquiries and what I have been told is very disappointing. Greenpeace Germany apparently has made it quite clear to the Green Party of Germany that they should not support my case. Greenpeace also will say nothing in my support despite my being a cofounder of the Greenpeace Foundation.

Apparently Greenpeace sees this as a opportunity to get rid of me. Now I`m not surprised that this is their position but I am surprised that the Green Party of Germany would concur.

I am grateful for the incredible support that I am getting from the German people and from people all around the world. In the end that is what is most important. I know I am not popular with government and large organizations. I tend to be ecologically correct instead of politically correct and I say and do many things that make many people angry.

However it would have been nice to have received support from a political movement that I have supported since it began.

To the Green Party of Australia, New Zealand and Canada I wish to say how much I appreciate your strong efforts on my behalf.

To the Green Party of Germany I can only say,

Je me suis demandé pourquoi il n'a pas été une déclaration ou même un mot du Parti vert de l'Allemagne au sujet de mon cas. Le Parti Vert en Allemagne représente 10% du peuple allemand. Ils pourraient m'aider à sécuriser ma libération, mais ils ont choisi de ne disent absolument rien.

Greenpeace Allemagne a apparemment fait qu'il soit bien clair pour le Parti vert de l'Allemagne qu'ils ne devraient pas soutenir ma cause. Greenpeace a également dira rien dans mon soutien en dépit de mon être un co-fondateur de la Fondation Greenpeace.

Apparemment, Greenpeace y voit une occasion de se débarrasser de moi. Maintenant, je ne suis pas surpris `que c'est leur position, mais je suis surpris que le Parti vert de l'Allemagne serait d'accord.

Je suis reconnaissant pour le soutien incroyable que je reçois du peuple allemand et de gens partout dans le monde. En fin de compte c'est ce qui est le plus important. Je sais que je ne suis pas populaire auprès des organisations gouvernementales et grandes entreprises. J'ai tendance à être écologiquement correct au lieu de politiquement correct et je dis et fais beaucoup de choses qui font beaucoup de gens en colère.

Toutefois, il aurait été agréable d'avoir reçu le soutien d'un mouvement politique que j'ai soutenu depuis le début.

Pour le Parti Vert de l'Australie, la Nouvelle-Zélande et au Canada, je tiens à dire combien j'apprécie vos efforts soutenus en mon nom.

Pour le Parti vert de l'Allemagne, je peux seulement dire,

Offenbar Greenpeace sieht darin eine Möglichkeit, mich loszuwerden. Jetzt bin ich nicht überrascht, dass dies ihre Position ist, aber ich bin überrascht, dass die Grünen in Deutschland würde dem zustimmen.

 Ich bin dankbar für die unglaubliche Unterstützung, die ich aus dem deutschen Volk und von Menschen auf der ganzen Welt bekommen.

Am Ende das ist, was am wichtigsten ist. Ich weiß, ich bin nicht mit der Regierung und großen Organisationen sehr beliebt.

Ich neige zu ökologisch korrekt statt politisch korrekt und ich sage und tue viele Dinge, die viele Menschen wütend machen.

Aber es wäre schön gewesen, um erhielt Unterstützung von einer politischen Bewegung, die ich unterstützt, da es begann zu haben.

Um der Grünen Partei von Australien, Neuseeland und Kanada möchte ich sagen, wie sehr ich Ihre Bemühungen zu schätzen stark in meinem Namen.
